Following a 49-0 shelling at the hands of Hart County Friday, Jackson County hopes for some end-of-the-season redemption.

Jackson County (3-6, 1-5) faces struggling Rabun County (1-8, 0-5) in its season finale next week. With the loss to the Bulldogs (5-3-1, 4-2), the Panthers finished sixth in the Region 8A-AA South standings. Rabun County is the sixth-place team out of 8A-AA North. Two squads will meet each other as part of the region play-in week to finish out the schedule.

The Panthers are shooting for a second consecutive 4-6 finish.

Jackson County heads into its final game carrying a three-game losing streak and also having lost six out of its last seven.

The Panthers haven't faced Rabun County since 1995. Jackson County is 2-6 all-time against Wildcats.
