There is a reason that Clarke Central’s quarterback, Martay Mattox, is being looked at by college teams and that is because he is an explosive force paired with an equally dynamite team. Madison County (1-7, 1-7) found out just how explosive the Clarke Central Gladiators were last Friday night in a 47-14 contest.
Even with Clarke Central (8-0, 8-0) bringing the hammer down, Madison County never quit and the continued effort finally proved successfully with two touchdowns.
“Clarke Central is on of the most explosive teams across the board that I have seen,” coach Randell Owens said. “As explosive as they are, we never quit and our boys played throughout the entire game.”
