The pressure was on Wednesday evening as Madison County hosted Northwest Whitefield in the second round of the state playoffs.
In the first game the Red Raiders defeated the Bruins 8-3 after seven innings. In game two, it was a nail-biter finish as Madison County held onto a two run lead as Northwest Whitefield got runners on third and second. Madison County win 3-1.
Madison County will advance to the Elite Eight and head to Columbus to play Oct. 28 at 3:30 p.m against the winner of Wayne County vs Union Grove.
