Runners take 10th at MainStreet Invitational

Madison County runners competed in the eighth annual MainStreet News Invitational at Jefferson this past Tuesday.

Red Raider runners earned 202 points for 10th place overall and third for Madison County’s region. Codey Brakhage was the top individual runner for the team taking 11th place at 19:22.


“The meet was held at Crowe’s Lake where the multiple terrains and fast downhill aspects made the run very challenging,” coach Allyson Terrell said. “Our times came in a little slower than normal.”

Corey Brakhage was the second finisher for Madison County at 20:24. Next across the line for Madison County were Isaac Ruiz and Tyler Terrell separated by three seconds. Ruiz finished at 21:19, Terrell at 21:22.

The fifth finisher for Madison County, Steven Tucker,= finished at 21:41

Madison County also sent Elise Coberly to the meet representing the Red Raiders’ girl’s team. Coberly finished at 30:15.
