Losses End Lady Tigers’ Season

Commerce threatened in the bottom of the inning, but a line shot right to the third baseman caught a runner off third, costing Commerce the game.

Beth Pritchett recorded the loss on the mound.

Jessika Kyle, Drea Mathis, Pritchett and Jessica Parkerson all contributed at the plate.

“They hit the ball well and they played hard,” said coach Pam Canup. “It was a great senior night. Everybody did what they needed to do to keep us in the ball game. Everybody was doing a good job.”

Next was a trip to Social Circle to face the Lady Redskins.

Social Circle got on the board first, then Commerce came back to take a 3-1 lead. But the Lady Redskins would come came away with the 6-3 victory.

“We had a couple of mental errors, and that took us out of it,” Canup said.

Pritchett recorded the loss.
