Jackson County's volleyball season ended this past Thursday at the 8-AA/A area tournament with a loss to George Walton.
The Panthers finished the season at 11-23.
Though they fell short of their goal of a winning season, they won seven more matches than they did last year.
“I am proud of the way the team has improved since last year, but disappointed we did not play better at the area tournament,” coach Crystal Colley said.
Colley noted that her team had some struggles in the latter part of the year.
“I am still trying to figure out how we started so strong this year, yet struggled so much the second half of the season,” she said. “We let too many matches go. The team has come a long way, and the girls are working really hard. I look forward to seeing them grow as a team and JCCHS volleyball grow as a program.”
