While last Friday night was one for the history books as Banks County improved to 4-1 after a 27-0 shutout over Union County, the Leopards are already looking ahead to this Friday and the next challenge against the Dawson County Tigers.
While the Leopards have not dropped a game against Dawson County since the 2005 season, the Tigers’ unexpected win over Fannin County (24-17) last Friday has Banks County looking to shutdown one of the only other teams to pick up a region win last week.
“Dawson looks well balanced this year,” Leopard head coach Blair Armstrong said. “They have a good quarterback and a top receiver. We did a good job of stopping the Union County pass last week and we are going to have to bring our best this week at Dawson too.”
Marquaze Maddox takes off with the ball after catching the pass. Maddox scored two TDs in Banks County’s 27-0 romp over Union County. Justin Poole/staff
