Runners set to race up the mountain

Last week’s home meet for the Banks County cross-country team was rained out on Thursday. The meet is rescheduled for Oct. 14 at 4:30 p.m.

This week the Leopard runners head to the Mountain Invitational hosted by White County High School. The meet is Oct. 7, at 4:30 p.m.

Banks County runners are currently performing above par with all runners hitting season bests in the last meet. The boys in particular are so far undefeated this season, led by Ivan Diaz and Trey Martin.

Maggie McCoy and Kara Murphy have led the girl’s team in each of the past three meets.
