Commerce Defeats Athens Christian 28-7

The Tiger Nation had reason to cheer Friday night, as Commerce picked up their first region win of the year and their second win overall with a 28-7 victory over Athens Christian.

The Tigers were led by Addison Davis, who scored three touchdowns on the night, while Cody Streetman scored once. Meanwhile, the Commerce defense held the Eagles to 147 yards.

Up next for the Tigers is a home stand against the Eagles of Riverside Military Academy on Friday.

Riverside enter into play Friday night in the midst of a five game losing streak after falling to Social Circle 22-19.

Kick off Friday at Commerce is scheduled for 8 p.m.
