Early on, the East Jackson Eagles looked to have their third region win of the season well in hand.
But it slipped away in the second half, as the Eagles fell to the Hart County Bulldogs 21-14.
East Jackson jumped out to an early lead, with C.J. Allen scoring two touchdowns in the first four minutes of the game to jump out to a 14-0 lead.
Hart County would score their first touchdown of the night just four minutes into the second quarter, then score again to tie the game 14-14 with just over four and a half minutes gone in the third quarter.
The Bulldogs would score their third and final touchdown of the night just over four minutes into the fourth quarter, and would hold on for the 21-14 win.
East Jackson will be off next week, and will return to action on Oct. 15 with a home stand against North Oconee.
