The Jefferson Dragons faced off against the Morgan County Bulldogs Thursday night in Jefferson.
The meeting allowed the JHS coaching staff a chance to see how some of the players will perform in the season opener against in county rival Commerce.

Dragons looked vulnerable in the scrimmage game. No size to speak of on the line and no threat to run the ball up the gut. They have some speed on the corners but in AA, they'll meet teams with as much and more speed. If Navis intends to pass the ball (as he always seems to want to), he needs to develop somebody with more passing skills. This seems like a young team.... I don't know the Sr/Jr/Soph balance but I suspect it's not the senior-laden, experienced team that was fielded last year. And I realize not all the players participated in the scrimmage but unless they're holding some people back, the Tigers may get their revenge Friday night.
