Tigers Run Well At Madison Co.

The Commerce Cross Country Tigers took part in their second meet of the season last week, traveling to Madison County on Sept. 21.

Andrew Brookshire turned in a strong performance, placing 10th overall. Other finishers included Chase Klugh, 13th, Jeffery Henderson, 16th, Nick Henderson, 21st, Zan Peek, 22nd, Thomas Sweeny, 24th and Ryan Peek, 26th.

“We ran okay at Madison County,” said coach Mark Hale. “I thought Andrew ran a strong race. Chase and Jeffery were not quite as strong as at Rabun Gap. Nick Henderson is back out from a shoulder injury and surgery he had this summer. He is starting to help us out. Zan Peek was our number five runner, which was an improvement for him.”
