Lady Eagles Close Regular Season

Last week started out with a pairing against North Oconee that saw East Jackson fall 13-1.

Taylor Nix picked up the loss from the mound.

Up next was a trip to Danielsville to face Madison County.

The Lady Raiders took control early, putting four runners across in the top of the first, two in the second and one in the third. They held the Lady Eagles scoreless until the bottom of the fourth, when East Jackson put two runners across. Madison would score again in the top of the sixth to win 8-2.

Rebecca Turner recorded the loss from the mound. Turner and Yarbrough both delivered hits from the plate.

Up next was a pairing against the Lady Dragons of Jefferson. Just like Madison County in the previous game, the Lady Dragons took control early, putting five runs across in the first two innings.

East Jackson rallied when Brooke Yarbrough got a hit and Kayla Thomas got a successful bunt down. That was followed by back-to-back doubles by Rebecca Turner and Kelsey Palette, allowing the Lady Eagles to close to 5-3.

Jefferson would score once more and hold on to win 6-3.
