The Commerce Cross Country Tigers got their season underway last week in a four-team meet at Rabun Gap.
The Tigers will next take part in a meet in Banks County on Thursday, Sept. 30.
Commerce had four runners at Rabun Gap, which was not enough to qualify for a team score.
Andrew Brookshire finished 11th overall, with Jeffery Henderson turning in a 17th place effort. Chase Klugh finished 18th and Thomas Sweeney placed 31st.
“Times were about what we have been having in practice,” said coach Mark Hale. “To be able to run in a varsity meet, you must post a certain time in practice. These were the only ones who had met that by this meet.”
