Tigers Make History With 43-34 Win Over Washington-Wilkes

They say the third time's the charm.

In two previous match-ups, the Commerce Tigers had come up short against Washington-Wilkes.

But on Friday night, Commerce picked up their first win in school history over Washington-Wilkes, winning 43-34 on the road.


The victory gives the Tigers their first win of 2010, and a much needed boost as they prepare to open their season schedule in two weeks.

Following a bye week next Friday night, Commerce will return to the gridiron on Oct. 1 at Athens Christian in their first 8-A match-up of the year.

Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
