Lady Eagles Face Oglethorpe Thurs.

The East Jackson Lady Eagles picked up their first victories of the season last week.

Now they face more region action this week, traveling to Oglethorpe County on Thursday to face the Lady Patriots at 5:30.

Oglethorpe enters play this week 2-3 in the region, but with a 2-9 overall record.

The Lady Patriots won the last meeting of the two teams, 6-1, on Aug. 24.

The Lady Eagles recorded their first win of the season against Hart County, 7-6 victory on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

That was followed by a split decision in a double header on Thursday against Elbert County. East Jackson took the 4-3 win in game one, but lost to the Lady Blue Devils 4-3 in game two.

The Lady Eagles lost to Prince Avenue at a tournament Friday, 12-0 in four innings, then dropped a 6-5 decision that afternoon to Stephens County.

East Jackson opened play Saturday morning against Morgan County. The game ended in a 3-3 tie due to time constraints. That was followed by an 11-0 loss to Winder-Barrow and a 4-2 loss to Jackson County.
