Lady Wildcats in middle of busy week

“Against Loganville, we didn’t do much right in that one,” Cavey said. “We didn’t have them prepared mentally and that falls on the coaches. We faced a weaker team earlier in the week and sometimes it’s hard to turn around and play a much stronger one. We had a good heart-to-heart after the Loganville game. Hopefully, it will help wake us up.”

The remainder of this week is filled with games for AHS. The team will travel to Habersham Central Thursday.

“They are playing well,” Cavey said. “We will have to be ready and be focused. Hopefully, we can go up there and play well.”

The Lady Wildcats will also host games Friday as part of the Brookwood Invitational. AHS will play at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday as Veterans High School, Jones County and Peachtree Ridge will make the trip to the Lady Wildcats’ field.

“We are down to the last two weeks in the season,” Cavey said. “We need to get some wins against some good teams.”
