Tigers Open CC Season Tuesday

The Commerce High School Cross Country teams are scheduled to open their 2010 season next Tuesday, Sept. 14, at Rabun Gap.

The Tigers have spent the last several weeks training for the season opener. The boys will be led by senior Jeffery Henderson, a third-year runner. Henderson will be joined by two other third-year runners, juniors Jonathan Leffew and Zan Peek, along with a host of first-year runners.

The girls have one returning members, senior Sierra Martinez.

Following next Tuesday’s opener, Commerce will travel to Madison County to compete on Sept. 21, then move on to Banks County on Sept. 30 before taking part in the MainStreet Meet at Jefferson on Oct. 12.
