Eagles Fall To White Co. 21-14

The East Jackson Eagles fell just short in their season opener, falling to the Warriors of White County 21-14.

After scoring early, the Eagles would carry a 7-0 advantage out of the first quarter. White County would come back to tie the game early in the second quarter, and would score again after recovering an East Jackson fumble with just under seven minutes left in the half.

The Eagles would block the PAT attempt, as White County carried the 13-7 advantage into the half.

The Eagles took the lead back in the third quarter, with just under four minutes left on the clock, and would hold a 14-13 advantage until late in the fourth quarter, when White County scored a late touchdown with just over two minutes remaining. The Warriors would hold on to win 21-14.

East Jackson will travel to Oconee County to face the Warriors on Friday. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
