With the loss of several seniors for both teams, the GACA Coaches pre-season softball poll shows the uncertainty that some people feel in how Commerce and East Jackson will fare in the upcoming season, which gets under way Friday.
The poll, released by GaSports.com on Friday, has Commerce in eighth place in the polling for 8-A. Last year, the Lady Tigers finished second in the region.

I found the article about the ranking of Commerce and East Jackson softball to be a little misleading. East Jackson is ranked 5th in all of AA in the state not just region 8. And Commerce is ranked 8th in all of A in the state not just region 8. To me that shows confidence, not a lack thereof. Even though East Jackson went undefeated and were region 8-AA champs last season, they ended up ranked 10th in AA. That's all of AA for the whole state, not just region 8.
