Bubba “Hog Rocket” Russell soared into the winners’ circle twice this weekend at Hartwell Speedway, winning both the Limited Late Model and the Crate Late Model race.
The Comer native has kicked it up a notch during the second half of the race season, leading in the Crate Late Model points and recently moving within six points of overtaking the points lead in the Limited Late Model class.
Madison County was represented by other racers at the Hartwell track as well.
Mark Parham (Comer) finished fifth in Crate Late Model and Kenny Collins (Colbert) was sixth. Robin Collins was ninth in Street Stock while Jimmy Little finished fourth in Advanced Four Cylinder and Brandon Parsons (Danielsvllle) was fifth in Four Cylinder.
