Jackson County Comprehensive High School is the only school in the local area to offer slow pitch softball.
While slow-pitch is not nearly as favored by other schools like its sister sport fast-pitch softball, JCCHS has good turnout for slow-pitch tryouts.
According to head coach Clarke Rainwater, the Lady Panthers had 20 girls tryout for the team and 10 of the 14 girls on the team are new additions.
