JCCHS still swinging with slow-pitch softball

“We try to continue slow-pitch because it is a great game and girls will try out for it every year,” said Rainwater.

With the majority of the team being upper classmen, the team looks like a veteran group but the newcomers to the team will have to step up quick as the competition for the team includes Cobb and Cherokee County teams. Rainwater said that he thinks the team can win some games if the girls continue to work hard.

“It is very hard to play catch up with the teams we play as they still do slow-pitch in park and rec and travel ball and we have neither,” said Rainwater.

In a few weeks the girls will get a chance to see what they have got and if they are ready to compete when they face Kell in a home double-header, Saturday, August 30, at 10 a.m.
