Eagles Perform At State Meet

East Jackson wrapped up its 2010 track season over the weekend, as two team members took part in the boys’ state track meet in Jefferson.

Nick Fulks recorded a fifth-place finish in the discus with a throw just over 138 feet, marking a personal record at the state meet.
Brandon Banks came home with a seventh-place finish in the 800-meter run.

For Banks, a senior, it was the third different distance event he qualified for in the past three years.

The Eagles scored six points to tie for eighteenth place with Macon County and Oglethorpe County.
