The Jefferson Dragons are ready to set another date in the history books.
August 29 will not only mark the opening of another season of Jefferson football, but it will represent another piece of Dragon history.
For the first time, Jefferson opens its season by playing host to its in-county rivals, the Commerce Tigers. It marks the first time for each team that they’ve opened against the other since the series started back in 1947. Normally, the teams face each other later in the year, in late October or early November.
Commerce looks for an opening against Jefferson during the 2007 game. Jefferson defeated Commerce 42-7.

Can't wait for the season to start! If I ever saw joy, it was in the Dragons stands last year in the fourth quarter.
