After weather delays, the Jefferson Lady Dragon golf team finally wrapped up their season by taking part in the state match Monday.

Jefferson didn’t disappoint, as they finished third in the state behind GAC and Westminster.

The Lady Dragons were led by sophomore Hanna Chapman, who shot a 90 and junior Kara Perry, who shot a 96.

“Brooke Whelchel, Paige Pate, and Anna Alexander all were invaluable to the success of the Lady Dragons this year also,” said coach Tom Parker.

Monday’s result, which was the highest finish at the state tournament in school history, came on the heels of the Lady Dragons sixth consecutive region title.
