In the midst of a six-game drought, the East Jackson Eagles had hoped to end their season on a high note last Friday, as they played host to the Union County Panthers in a doubleheader.
It looked like the Eagles might be able to turn their luck around in game one, as they stayed close in the back-and-forth battle. But in the end, the Eagles came away on the short end of a 10-8 first game then lost 11-0 in the nightcap.
The Eagles ended their season 4-16 in the region and 6-20 overall.
That’s an improvement over 2009, where East Jackson went 3-10 in the region and 3-17 overall.
