Dragons take third at region meet

Tyler Porter won the region title in the pole vault, and advances to the state meet. Josh Kles won two region titles, taking first in the pole vault and in discus. Derrick Perkins won in the 110-meter hurdles, placed second in the 300-meter hurdles and placed second in the triple jump.

Sky Porter advanced to the state meet with a second place in the pole vault. He also placed third in the long jump. Also advancing to state was Nick Fulks with a second place in the discus,

Other placers included Noah McCarthy, who placed fourth in the high jump. Cale Pirtle placed fifth in the 1600-meters. Tyler Porter placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles. Shaquille Maxey placed sixth in the triple jump. Michael Stephenson placed seventh in the 800-meters.

The 4x100 team placed fourth in their event, while the 4x400 team placed third.

Up next is the boys state meet, slated for May 13-15 at Jefferson.
