Lady Wildcats golf set for state

Three Apalachee High School Lady Wildcat golfers will tee it up at the state meet Monday morning.

Shelby Hanna, Kristen Clack and Megan Banner will begin play at the Class AAA state tournament Monday at approximately 8:40 a.m. The Lady Wildcats arrived in Jekyll Island Friday evening and played practice rounds Saturday and Sunday, coach Kevin Morris said.

"This is a great experience for them," Morris said Sunday night. "The great thing is they are making school history and are getting to play more golf this spring."

Jekyll Island has three courses and Hanna, Clack and Banner will compete at Indian Mounds.

A total of 16 schools will compete for the AAAA title.
