Lady Tigers Seek State Representation

After being rained out over the weekend. The Lady Tigers were able to get in the first round of the girls’ 8-A region track meet on Monday.

The finals in the running events were scheduled Tuesday, but results were unavailable at press time.

After Monday’s opening, Commerce was in fifth place with 13 points.

Athens Christian led with 89 points, followed by Athens Academy with 57 and Social Circle with 32 points.

Tallulah Falls scored 23 points, while Prince Avenue did not score at all.

The girls’ state track meet is May 6-8 in Albany.

The top two finishers from each event advance to the state meet.
