East Jackson played host this week to the 8-AA girls’ region meet, which was pushed back to Monday due to Saturday’s wet weather.
In the opening round, East Jackson tied for third with Rabun County, with both teams scoring 29 points.
North Oconee led after day one with 95, with Jefferson in second with 52.5 points. Dawson County, Walnut Grove, Oglethorpe County, Fannin County and Banks County followed.
Monday saw the completion of all the field events and the 1600-meters. The finals in the track events will be held today (Wednesday) at East Jackson.
