Banks County’s track teams are nearing the finish of the regular season.
The Lady Leopards’ region meet will be this Saturday at East Jackson while the boys have another week before heading to compete at region.
Both teams competed last week at East Jackson. The Thursday tri-met among East Jackson, Banks County and Commerce had Banks taking third in both divisions.
The Lady Leopards scored 37 points, following the Lady Eagles’ 75 points and behind Commerce’s 61.
The Leopards scored 30 points to trail Commerce by 26 points and following East Jackson’s lead of 84 points.
Individual results from the East Jackson tri-meet were unavailable at press time.
On Tuesday, April 20, Banks County headed to Jackson County to take part in the final meet before girl’s region. Results from Tuesday were unavailable at press time.
Following this week’s girls’ region meet at East Jackson, the boys will compete next Saturday, May 1, at Jefferson as the Leopards head to the 8-A boys’ region meet.
