Struggling Tigers Face Daunting Schedule

Commerce’s diamond Tigers have just seven games left in the regular baseball season. After last week’s struggle and split of four games during the week, the team is facing some tough challengers.

“Last week was a struggle for us and you never know how they are going to play over spring break,” said coach Steve Cotrell. “From here on out, we’ve got to worry about one game at a time, and the first thing is to come out and play the game we are capable of playing and beat a good team in Lakeview [on Tuesday].”

Commerce returned from last week’s spring break to host Lakeview on Tuesday night. Results from the game were unavailable at press time. Earlier in the season, Lakeview slipped past Commerce 8-6.
