Comer’s Bubba “Hog Rocket” Russell won his fifth event of the season in the Crate Late Model class at Hartwell Speedway over the weekend.



Russell, who is a five time points champion, is rocketing his way to another championship, extending his points lead to 42 points over second-place Mitchell Godfrey.

Other Madison County racers placing were Mark Parham (Comer), who finished fourth in Crate Late Model class, and Jimmy Little (Comer), who was third in the Advanced Four Cylinder race.
