JHS travels to Banks Co. Wednesday

The Jefferson golf teams returned to action last Wednesday, facing off against Prince Avenue and Madison County at Lane Creek Golf Course.

The boys came away with a tie, as both they and Madison County shot 170, while Prince Avenue shot 175.

Patrick Hilton and Josh Flowers each shot 41 to lead the Dragons. Michael Baker, Austin Rowland and Isaac Kelly each shot a 44.

The Lady Dragons placed second in their match, shooting a 100 to winner Madison County’s 91. Prince Avenue shot a 115.

Brooke Whelchel led the Lady Dragons by shooting a 46. Hanna Chapman and Anna Alexander each shot a 54.

Jefferson will next face off against Banks County at Hammers Glen this (Wednesday) afternoon, before taking on Washington Wilkes at Double Oaks on Thursday.

That will be followed by the start of region 8AA tournament play on Monday, April 19 at Traditions.
