The Winder-Barrow High School baseball team will look to take another step toward to the postseason Friday when they host county and region rival Apalachee at 5:30 p.m.
The Diamond Doggs will also be looking to avenge an upset loss to the Wildcats from earlier this season when AHS took an 8-6 win back on March 15 on a frigid afternoon. That loss was the first of the season for WBHS although since that time the Bulldoggs have emerged as a playoff contender while the Wildcats have struggled to get their feet under them in the tough Region 8-AAAA race.
See next Wednesday's edition of the Barrow Journal for a complete baseball report as well as an update on other local spring action.
