CHS Girls Golf Defeat EJCHS

The Lady Tigers’ golf team picked up a win against East Jackson last week.

In a three-stroke win, Commerce defeated East Jackson 125-128.

Haley Chesnut led the girls, posting a 62 while Ann Drinkard finished it off, shooting a 63.

“The girls continue to improve. Our scores are getting better,” Coach David Stephenson said. “Haley, Ann, Ella, and Hannah have all lowered their scores.”

While their scores didn’t count, Ella Sims posted a 66, and Hannah Patterson scored 71 while Hillary Gary played what Stephenson said was “her best match of the year,” shooting a 59 as an extra.
