Down Time Is Practice Time For Tigers Track

Following a week off, the Commerce track team has more off time before heading to Jefferson on April 10 to compete in the Jefferson Relays.

The boys’ and girls’ teams competed at Habersham Tuesday but results were unavailable at press time.

With the Jefferson Relays following Commerce’s spring break, both the Tigers and Lady Tigers should be well rested. The days off offer the Commerce athletes a chance to put in some final practice before the relays.

Other than Commerce and Jefferson, East Jackson will also attend the relays along with Madison County and Athens Academy among the 22 teams are scheduled to attend.

The meet gets underway at 10:00 a.m. with field events. Running events begin at 1:00 p.m. The Jefferson Relays are held at Jefferson Memorial Stadium.
