Tiger Netters Fall To Athens Christian

Following a week of rain, Commerce’s netters faced Athens Christian last Tuesday.

The girls were swept 5-0 by Athens Christan while the boys’ double team of Jessie Savage and Garrett Wilson posted the only win in a 4-1 loss.

Commerce was able to have a nice day for practice on Thursday as Lakeview canceled the scheduled match. At press time a make-up date had yet to be announced.

Coming up for the Tiger netters is an away match at Woody Gap on Thursday. Match time is set for 4:30 p.m.

Commerce played at Towns County on Tuesday. Results from those matches were unavailable at press time.
