Eagles Face Madison Co. Wed.

Last week was unkind to the East Jackson boys’ golf team.

The Eagles faced Madison County Monday at Sunrise Golf Course, where they came away with a loss, 239-183.

“It was the first match that we had enough daylight to finish all nine holes,” said coach Shawn Lindsey.

On Wednesday, the Eagles faced Jackson County and Banks County at Double Oaks in Commerce. Jackson County won with a 169, with Banks County placing second with a 210 and the Eagles finishing third with a 229.

“We played better than Monday, but we still have a long way to go,” Lindsey said. “We expect our young group to show a lot of improvement during the season.”

The Eagles were scheduled to return to Sunrise Golf Course to face Madison County today (Wednesday).
