Following a week of delays and cancellations, Banks County’s diamond Leopards were back on the field Monday at East Jackson.
The Leopards moved to a 5-2 record with an 8-6 win over the Eagles.
With the first region win under their caps, Banks now focuses on a doubleheader against region opponent Dawson County this Friday. Playing in Dawsonville, the first game starts at 5 p.m.
Dawson County is 3-2 right now, trailing the Leopards on paper in runs. The Leopards will look to repeat the performance from the 2009 campaign with a doubleheader win.
Banks was scheduled to play Oglethorpe at home on Tuesday night. Individual results were unavailable at press time from Tuesday’s game.
