Last week’s wet weather caused scheduling headaches for several teams and schools.
Jefferson was no exception, as Jefferson’s five-way meet, with GAC, Riverside, Hart County and Flowery Branch had to be postponed.
The meet was rescheduled for Tuesday. JHS coach Tim Corbett said score was not kept at the meet.
Among the notable performances was Tyler Porter, who set a new school record with 16’ in the pole vault. In the triple jump, Derrick Perkins jumped at 42’ 9 1/2”, while Sky Porter had a jump at 42’ 2 1/2”.
Josh Kles turned in a throw at 53’ 11” at shot put, and a throw of 153’ in discus. Derrick Perkins turned in a time of 15.38 in the 110-meter high hurdles
The next event for Jefferson is the GAC Invitational, scheduled for Saturday at Norcross.
