Commerce Tiger boys’ basketball just won’t end.
The Tigers battled Our Lady of Mercy on Friday to pass through the first round of state playoffs, taking a thrilling 54-52 win before a delighted home crowd.
The second round pits Commerce against 7A second seed St. Francis. That game was scheduled for Tuesday night, but was postponed until tonight (Wednesday) at 7:15 p.m. at CHS because of the weather.

Tigers Vs Knights In Sweet 16
The 13-15 St. Francis Knights score, on average, about 10 fewer points per game than the Tigers.
If Commerce can get past the Knights they’ll be among the “Elite Eight” of Class A teams remaining and will face the winner of Whitefield Academy versus Paideia at Marietta High School.
The quarterfinal round is scheduled for March 5-6.
