Jefferson netters defeat Elbert County

Matt Buchanan and Aaron Martin won 6-2, 6-1 at number one doubles, while Trevor Castellaw and Sky Porter won 6-0, 6-2 at number two.

Meanwhile, the girls won 4-1, winning at every position but number two singles.

Bell Blankenship won 6-0, 6-0 at number one singles while Maggie Broome won 6-0, 6-3 and number three.

Miranda McGarity and Alison Salsman won 6-0, 6-2 at number one doubles while Erin Roberts and Savannah Howard won 6-0, 2-6, 10-8 at number two.

Jefferson’s boys then went on to defeat Winder-Barrow, winning 5-0.

Zach Bost won 6-0, 6-0 at number one singles. Blair Buffington won 6-2, 6-0 at number two. Ben Daniels won 6-0, 6-1 at number three.

The girls, meanwhile, won the in singles against Winder-Barrow to take the win, despite losing both doubles matches.

Next up for the boys is a trip on March 2 to Riverside. Both teams will return to the court on March 4 when they play host to North Oconee.
