Eagles Lock Up Number Two Seed

A victory Monday night over Banks County locked up the number two seed for East Jackson in the upcoming region basketball tournament.

The Eagles will face number three seed Dawson County this Saturday to open tournament play in Dawsonville.

Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

The Eagles hoped to end their regular season on a high note Monday night when they hosted Banks County in a rescheduled game due to wintry weather.

It was a back and forth affair, but the Eagles managed to come away with the upper hand.

Despite a rally by the Leopards late, East Jackson pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 65-54 win.
