EJCHS Set For Postseason Open Against Banks Co.

The Lady Eagles of East Jackson closed out their regular season this week with a pair of wins and one loss, as they prepare to enter post-season play.

East Jackson closed out the season tied for fourth in the subregion with Banks County. The two teams will face each other again Thursday as post-season play begins at Oglethorpe County.

Tip-off is at 6 p.m.

The Lady Eagles closed out their regular season by hosting of Banks County Monday night after winter weather postponed the game from its original Friday night scheduled date.

The Lady Leopards pulled out to an early 12-2 lead, but East Jackson began fighting back and by end of the first quarter, East Jackson had pulled to within six points, 19-13.

Banks County was able to squeeze out to a slightly larger lead, 30-22, by the half.

The Lady Leopards had an eight-point advantage by the end of the quarter, leading 45-38, then held off a hard charge by the Eagles in the final eight minutes. East Jackson closed to within five points as time ran out, and Banks County won 60-55.
