Lady Eagles Host Banks Co. Friday

North Oconee
The Lady Eagles hosted North Oconee last Tuesday.

Both teams seemed evenly matched early on. The scored was tied 8-8 at the end of the first quarter and North Oconee was up 17-16 at the half.

In the second half, the lady Titans came to life, holding East Jackson to seven points while they added another 14 to make it 31-23 at the end of the third quarter. The Lady Titans coasted to a 48-29 victory.

Walnut Grove
Up next was a trip to Walnut Grove.

The Lady Warriors took control early, moving out to a 17-9 lead by the end of the first quarter. They expanded the lead to 34-19 at the half then held on to win 41-27.

Jefferson
The Eagles hosted the Jefferson Lady Dragons in their second and final regular-season pairing of the year.

Jefferson jumped out a 12-5 first-quarter lead, but the Lady Eagles worked their way back into contention in the second quarter, making it a 17-13 game by the end of the half.

Jefferson outscored East Jackson 8-6 in the third period to take a 24-19 lead into the final stanza, during which Jefferson outscored East Jackson 14-5 to take a 38-24 decision.
