Commerce wrestlers are just over a week away from the Area Tournament, which will determine which members advance to state. The grapplers’ chances look good as Commerce added two team wins and a tournament victory this past week.
After what coach Kendall Love described as a “disappointing performance” at the State Duals four weeks ago, the Tigers have worked on a comeback.
“I feel like we have bounced back well after that disappointing performance and have beaten some very good teams in all classes,” Love said. “Our goal is simple – we want to win the Area Tournament and then set our sights on the State Tournament.”
