Eagles Second In Sub-region Standings

The Eagles of East Jackson came away from play last week with an important region win over Banks County, and even more importantly, assumed sole possession of second place in the sub-region.

The Eagles are set to launch into the last five games of region play this week.

On Friday, they’ll travel to Walnut Grove to face the Warriors, hoping to repeat a Jan. 15 77-57 victory.

Tip-off is at 8:30 p.m.

Banks County
On Tuesday, the Eagles beat the Banks County Leopards in Homer.

The first half was an even struggle, with the Eagles up by one point at the half.

The Eagles finally got their legs under them in the third quarter, pushing out a lead that they carried into the fourth quarter.

But poor free throw shooting in the last eight minutes of the game allowed the Leopards to close the gap.
