Lady Eagles Host Walnut Grove Fri.

The Lady Eagles of East Jackson fell to Rabun County in region play last week.

They’ll try to get on a winning path in region play as they play host to the Lady Warriors of Walnut Grove on Friday. Walnut Grove enters this week with an 8-4 record, 1-2 in the region.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Lady Eagles traveled to Rabun County last Friday to face the Lady Wildcats in their third region pairing of the season.

Rabun County put the game out of reach early. The Lady Wildcats led 15-10 after one quarter, then salted the game away with a 22-0 second-quarter run to put them up 37-10 at the half.

East Jackson was slated to play host to Fannin County on Friday, but that game was postponed due to icy weather. It will now be played on Jan. 23 at 4 p.m.

The Lady Eagles were scheduled to travel to North Oconee on Tuesday to face the Lady Titans. Results were unavailable at press time.
