Eagles Host Warriors Fri.

It was not the start to the new year that the East Jackson Eagles were hoping for, as they fell to Rabun County last Tuesday.

The Eagles will next host the Walnut Grove Warriers on Friday at 8:30. The Warriors enter play this week with a 2-5 record (0-3 in region play).

The Eagles traveled to Clayton last Tuesday to face off against the Wildcats in region play.

Things went well enough for East Jackson in the first half for them to carry a 29-28 lead into the half, but a sluggish third quarter allowed Rabun County to outscore the Eagles 35-7, handing the Wildcats control of the game.

In the end, it was Rabun County coming away with the 67-54 victory.

Brandon Garrett led in scoring with 21 points. Evan Williamson scored nine.
